What is a hypocrite and when am I one? A hypocrite says one thing and does
another. Matthew 7:5 says, "Thou hypocrite, first cast out of thine own eye; and
then thou shalt see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
This is coming from a carpenter's Son who evidently knew His wood. When we
look around, it is so easy to find fault in other's actions and fail to see our own faults.
Let me assure you, they are there! We just have to look in any mirror to see them.
It is not in how we look outside, it is more about what we look like inside that counts
with Jesus. Yes, there will be times when we too have to say I am a hypocrite if I
criticize someone for something that I myself have done.
Clear the mote today, Christian, and then help make the way easier for someone
else to see.
