Hey! Test it to see if it is hot enough. Test it to see if it is closed. Test it to see
if it has enough air in it!. Boy, we surely test things during our waking day, don't
we?
I Thessalonians 5:21 also tells us we need to test things, "Prove all things, hold
fast that which is good."
Put all things to the test to see if it is good or evil. That is what that verse is asking
us to do. We taste our food to see if it has enough flavor. We could list quite a few
things that we test. Why then don't we test the things of the world to see if they are
harmful to our spiritual life? To follow the Bible's advice, we must be alert. We need
to examine the situations closely. Is this going to help me along life's road or hinder
me from achieving my eternal reward? Put it to the test!! Check it out from the Bible's
standpoint.
