If you were taking a complicated route to a certain place, you might
write down the directions. If you were considering the future plan for your
life, you probably wouldn't bother to write anything down. Think of it -- the most
significant journey of your life, and you probably won't put a word of the directions down
on paper.
Habakkuk 2:2 states, "Write the vision and make it plain on tablets,
that he may run who reads it."
Writing down your plans, goals, and ideas makes them more real to
you. Being certain of what you need to do in order to achieve your goals
increases the chances of actually achieving them.
Matthew 6:33: (my favorite verse to quote lately) says "Seek first the
kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto
you."
What is your life's goal? A home in Heaven? Do you know the
directions? (Mark 16:16) The Bible gives us a road map. Follow it!
