It might sound like a small thing, but it is true that we work harder
and much better when we feel appreciated. I know that is true for me. Money,
prestige, and all the other aspects of work just don't measure up if we think
those we work for don't truly care about us.
John 3:16 is a powerful verse for most of us: "For God so loved the
world..." That is love from God toward me and toward you. Jesus said in John
16:22, "Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your
heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you."
We'll work till Jesus comes. Isn't that a hymn that we sing? Why?
It's because He loves and appreciates us and all that we do for Him.
