Some foods need to be stirred frequently. Is that a lesson for us?
Luke 23:5 says, "He stirred up the people--beginning from Galilee to this place."
Jesus stirred things up. He stirred people out of complacency. He calls for us to live up to
our best possibilities. Just think of the marvelous things that have been done when people are
"stirred up."
We are warned in Revelation not to be lukewarm. It tells us to be
either cold or hot, and hot is preferred. Lukewarm, settled, cooling off just doesn't cut
it. What do you have cooking that needs a little stirring up today? Could it be finding a closer
walk with God? A better method of Bible Study? A friend that you need to visit? Someone you
could show a little more kindness to? How about sharing God's Word with others? Whatever you determine that needs re-heating, and a little stirring up, why not do it today?
