Hangin' out with the crew. Doesn't that sound like fun? That must have been
how some of the disciples felt when we read Matthew 13:36, "Then Jesus sent
the multitude away, and went into the house: and His disciples came unto Him,
saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field."
The crowd has been sent away, it is just us, they said. Let's hang out together
and you give us the real scoop now, and boy does He! If we continue to read
that chapter from verses 37 through 52, He gives them quite a lesson, doesn't
He?
Sometimes we need to get alone with Jesus and hang out with the crew that He
had as disciples and learn the inside story for ourselves. We need time to reflect.
We need time to get away from the multitude and try to understand just what the
Bible is saying. It is necessary to know it is saying something to us - about us.
