Winter has been hanging around a long time this year, or so it seems. It is almost
as if it has become permanent in some areas of the country. I know, only God is
permanent. The cycles and seasons are what He made, and He did it to help us
see that He is the Maker of all things, even the weather.
Solomon, that wise one, was right about there being a time for everything, including
our lives. Eternity is not just a long time like winter, but it goes on forever and forever
(and we could continue). We can't decide the time for the coming and going of seasons,
but we can decide where we will spend eternity.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 tells us, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose
under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die;..." Isn't it time you made your place
in eternity secure?
