Take a look at what you are wearing today. Do you have buttons on your
clothes? Buttons hold two parts together. There is a piece of Scripture in
Philippians 3:1 that says, "Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To
write the same things to you, to me is not grievous, but for you it is safe."
That speaks of a "joyful union or joining together with the Lord". Is that
not amazing! We can join God's fastening to make us secure by uniting
us with Jesus. We can then be joined or buttoned-up with others who
believe to make things secure.
