A lot of us don't like surprises. We want to know what is happening. Sometimes,
we are pleasantly surprised by some act or by a person. If we are surprised by some
natural disaster, we have to learn how to accept that and deal with it. There are no
surprises with God. He has seen it all and heard it all. He is in control and when we
come to realize that, we then see how the things that happen, even the surprises,
help us grow. People should notice the inner peace we have no matter what comes
our way. Micah 7:7 puts it this way: "Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for
the God of my salvation; My God will hear me. " The surprise is really how we accept
the surprises that come.
