What were your fears when you were growing up? What about now?
President Roosevelt made that famous statement "The only thing we have
to fear is fear itself". Some of our fears are real and some are imagined.
We live in a noisy world and we hear things at night that make us wonder.
When we shine a light on whatever it was, it helps us understand. The Bible
truth in that is evident. Luke 12:5 puts it this way: "But I will show you whom
you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell;
yes, I say to you, fear Him!" He also has that same power to place us in heaven
if we are obedient. So we have nothing to fear except what fear can do to us.
(Maybe we ought to say "what fear can do FOR us.")
