Wow! I just got finished reading an article that stated the 14.1% of American's
surveyed (about 29,481,000) have "No Religion", they talked about having no
faith. They do not believe in the Almighty God. This is so stunning to me.
Faith is what gets me through my day. Without faith there is no hope. Without
prayer, I am lost!
Psalm 3:1-3 says,
1 LORD, how they have increased who trouble me!
Many are they who rise up against me.
2 Many are they who say of me,
“There is no help for him in God.” Selah
3 But You, O LORD, are a shield for me,
My glory and the One who lifts up my head.
There is not just help in God, but GREAT help! There are only 7 verses in
the 14th chapter of Psalms, and they read like a news article from today's world.
Psalm 14 -
1 The fool has said in his heart,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt,
They have done abominable works,
There is none who does good.
2 The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
3 They have all turned aside,
They have together become corrupt;
There is none who does good,
No, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge,
Who eat up my people as they eat bread,
And do not call on the LORD?
5 There they are in great fear,
For God is with the generation of the righteous.
6 You shame the counsel of the poor,
But the LORD is his refuge.
7 Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
When the LORD brings back the captivity of His people,
Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.
We can not afford to be found among those who are numbered as the corrupt.
We are told the end of the story by the Lord.
Romans 14:11-12 says,
11 For it is written:
“ As I live, says the LORD,
Every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall confess to God.”
12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
Whether you call yourself atheist, agnostic, Christian or any other name, we WILL
ALL bow and give account to God!
