Any day that we survive, we have won! I heard a man say recently when asked
how he was, "I'm on this side of the dirt so I must be OK." If you are able to read
this, then you are still breathing and thinking. You have survived. Now, what are
you going to do about that survival?
The danger some of us face is the "settling-in" in the first few weeks of a new year.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 states, "What has been is what will be, and what has been done
is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun."
Except - we have never lived in 2008 before! You have never been this old before!
There are new events and new people that will touch your life in ways never before.
There is no "deja vu" with God. He is unchanging but He promised us that we could
be made new. (Ephesians 4:24 says, "That you put on the new man which was
created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.")
A time for a new revival is within you for this coming year - survive and thrive!
