The word "burnout" is used whenever we have come to the end of our rope in
attempting something. Galatians 6:9 says, "And let us not be weary in well-doing:
for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." We can get burned out at doing
something unless we do as the Scripture asks in Colossians 3:17, "And whatever
you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God
the Father through Him."
When we maximize the moment and realize that we are doing this in His name, it
gives us the strength to carry on a little bit longer and to faint not. Work, play, and
care-giving can all be done with the idea that we are doing this as if we are doing
it unto Him. He will reward us for it - it's promised!
