Proverbs 17:22 tells us, "A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken
spirit dries the bones."
We don't even have to drive to the drug store for that bit of advice. Open the pages
of the Bible and it is filled with the prescriptions that put us back on the road to good
spiritual health. Happiness, rather than sadness, is good medicine it says. How can
we be happy when something is going all wrong? Put a smile on your face and in
turn it will filter down into the heart. It might be difficult to smile in the face of some
incidents in life. However, Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work
together for good to them that love the Lord," and that God is in control!
Read the "medical journal" (The Bible) and find YOUR prescription. It's in there, we
just have to look for it.
