Well, it is Friday in Gastonia, NC and it is an overcast, rainy kind of day.
Beautiful! I have over heard people in the last few days say things like,
"I am so sick of this rain", and "What a miserable day." Rain or no, there is
a lot to a day. Of course we know of the scripture Psalm 118:24 that says,
"This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it."
So, no matter what the situation we should rejoice in the Lord's creation.
You never know what your day will hold. Days in the Lord's hands are
wonderful, but there is a flip side to that coin. Psalm 7:11-12 gives us
warning with,
11 God is a just judge,
And God is angry with the wicked every day.
12 If he does not turn back,
He will sharpen His sword;
He bends His bow and makes it ready.
A scary thought, right? But verse 10 of that same chapter gives us the
comfort, "My defense is of God, Who saves the upright in heart."
