A Maven (which is a Yiddish term) is one who collects information
about a lot of things. He knows because he is curious enough to find out. This is
not selfish, he does this to pass along information to friends who obviously don't
know. What sets Mavens apart is not so much what they know but how they pass it
along. It can be an effective way of communicating information. It is called
one-on-one. Talking to one person to help them understand more clearly.

Jesus used that form of communication many times. The key is for that
person to then pass it along to someone who in turn passes it on to someone -
you get the point.

Malachi 3:16 (which has become one of my favorite verses) says, "Then
those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD listened and heard
them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the
LORD and who meditate on His name. "

Be a Maven about the Lord and His awesomeness. Tell it to someone and
the Lord will hear it and remember you for it!
