First off, let me start by apologizing for yesterday's Jump Start not arriving.
Anyone who has been getting this mailing knows that it has been coming at
different times during the day. The original intent was to have it in your hands
by the time you got to your computer in the morning. So let me explain. :)
The company that I use for the gastoniachurchofChrist.com website had a
problem with a 'spammer' that every morning was causing ALL of the sites on
that machine to crash. It would take them anywhere from 30 minutes to
several hours to fix the system. As of yesterday morning, I got fed up with
the situation, and being told that the system would be fixed, so I did something
about it. The entire website is now being transfered to another company
who has a better track record.
Why am I telling you this? Well, you see, we have problems in our life that
we ignore. We think they will get better. We think that no one will really
notice, or if they do, they won't really mind. Well, we can believe that all
we want, but nothing can be further from the truth! Everything we do is
noticed. Yes, by those around us, but most importantly by our Creator,
and heavenly Father! Matthew 10:30 and Luke 12:7 tell us that God
knows the number of hairs on your head. And Jeremiah 1:5 gives us
a great assurance “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to
the nations.” This is something that should give us comfort, because
HE KNOWS US. But, it should also give us pause because, HE
KNOWS US.
We need to concentrate on His will, and His plans for our lives. What
are those plans? Go to the Word.
