Ever watched TV and seen someone break through a door? It is a powerful
sight. John 20:19 gives us such a picture to think about: "Then the
same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut
where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and
stood in the midst and saith unto them, Peace be unto you."
Jesus was a door-breaker. He came to break down the door of fear,
doubt, disappointment, and despair just as He breaks down those same doors
for us today. He comes with a message of victory for whatever door is
erected. He is our hero to the rescue, if you will.
Philippians 4:12 says, "I can do all things through Christ which
strengtheneth me." With Christ beside us, we can and will break down the doors of this
world, no matter how tightly they are shut.
