"Lord, I see what you mean, I see that even in the areas where I think
I am sufficient, I still need to depend upon you!"

Could that statement (that fits so well with some of us today) be what
Peter was thinking, when in Luke 5:1-8, Peter had a fishing lesson? Imagine how Peter
must have felt. He had been fishing that lake all of his life and here comes One telling
him where the fish would be biting.

I can think of Peter saying, "Lord I know how to do that - you stick
with what you know." Then we read verse 6, after doing what the Lord asked, "And when they
had done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake."

It took their breath away probably, and in verse 8 Peter came to the
realization of just Who he was dealing with. We never get so smart that we don't need to
include Jesus in our actions. We never know so much that we don't need to talk
things over with our Father.
