Recently, we have had two sad occurrences in our congregation. Two different
families have both lost their mothers. I can't explain why these things happen, but
I do know, God recognizes the tears and with these tears come His understanding
arms that are wide open.
Psalm 30:5 says, "...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
I find comfort in Romans 12:15. It says, "Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep
with them that weep." Nighttime seems too dark for any light to ever penetrate, but it
isn't. To share another's sorrow is comforting. Knowing others have a place in their
heart for our feelings is wonderful. Morning is coming for all of us and with it, His joy
and light.
