Some of you may know that I have a deep interest in the film industry. No, I
don't want to be an actor. I love the "how to" - the behind the scenes action.
The equipment, the technology and what they can do with simple things
to make them look outstanding is incredible. That's what I was thinking about
just now as I began to write this. The sets in Hollywood, even the actors -
while fascinating and spectacular, it's just not real. In the movies you can
expect this, but in life it just cannot be.

My faith, my hope, my love - they all have to be based on truth. I have the
opportunity to invest in that truth. Learning what is and isn't real is my
responsibility. Fear - that awesome reverent respect for the Almighty God,
dictates that I don't want Him as my acquaintance. I want Him as my God.

Ephesians 4:4-6 tells us the score, "There is one body and one Spirit, just as
you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."

The writer in Ephesians goes on to give us some good advice. Paul says,
"Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath
of God comes upon the sons of disobedience." - Ephesians 5:6

Don't be deceived by the pretty scenes that people paint with their empty words.
Trust only in the TRUTHS from God's word!
