"I can't hear you! What you are doing is hindering Me from hearing
what you are saying," God said. Proverbs 28:9, right there in the Bible, tells
us, "One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an
abomination."

God is not willing to accept, or hear, a prayer from someone who
doesn't follow what He has laid down for us to follow. Does that verse mean that I
have to obey all the things He has commanded of me? Is my prayer an abomination to
Him, when I know full well that I am not following Him in all my ways?
When God makes a statement, it becomes clear to me that frankly, it isn't like a game
of choice. I like the title of a book I heard about, "When the Game is Over, It Goes
Back in the Box." I think that is meaning when life is over, we all end up in the box.
Where the soul goes beyond that is up to God, the One whom we want listening.
