Thunderstorms bring lightning. Lightning plays with my electricity. I am not happy
when the lights go out. I don't give light switches much thought. Flip, and the lights
are on. With no electricity, I find myself flipping and nothing happens.
Matthew 5:14 says, "You are the light of the world." Verse 16 goes on to say, "Let
your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your
Father which is in Heaven."
I wonder how God feels when He sees that there are no lights? Thankfully, we have
a power source from God that our lights should never go out. This is especially important
as far as where we put our lamps. "Brighten the corner where you are!" Isn't that from
an old hymn we used to sing?
