Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend. I want you to picture being
in the on the boat with Jesus. He is sleeping and the storm is starting up. What
is going through your head. Those with Him were accustomed to being on and
around the water. I have always thought, this must have been some kind of storm
As the storm builds, Jesus continues to sleep. The storm rages, and He sleeps.
The boat is filling with water, and He sleeps. What are you thoughts at this point.

This story comes from Mark 4:35-41, it is has always been a favorite of mine.
The disciples who were with Him woke Him saying, “Teacher, do You not care
that we are perishing?” (verses 38) I can only imagine what went through
Jesus' mind at this. He brings His awesome power to bear, and calms the seas.
His next question is one that could be asked of us. “Why are you so fearful?
How is it that you have no faith?”

Isn't it wonderful to know that, as the storms rage around us, Jesus is there.
He is very aware of our situations. John 10:27-30 says,
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch
them out of My hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to
snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
30 I and My Father are one.”

In these uncertain times, and as we remember the events of this day 5 years ago,
remember the words of our loving Savior, "Peace, be still!"

Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!

Have a great day, and exalt Him, and KNOW that He is GOD!
