It is difficult to pull two magnets apart once they have been lined up and put
together. That is the way we should be with God. We should feel that pull that
draws us near to Him. The closer we get, the stronger the pull.
James 4:8 says, "Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you." Even a small
move toward Him will become a greater assurance that we can make that pull
even stronger with an honest question about ourselves. Do we want to draw
nearer and be firmly attached? It can begin with a prayer, a beginning attempt
at Bible reading, and a visit to a Bible-centered church.
Remember, the closer we get, the pull begins to take over to help us draw nearer.
I like to think of those two strong magnets huddled together as if they belong together.
They do, you know. God has only wanted the connection with His creation from the
beginning. John 3:16 states, "For God so loved the world..." You can finish that verse,
can't you?
