People today take great care in handling things. Gloves are worn to prevent the
spread of sickness. Did you ever see anyone handling some of the stuff printed
today? It, too, can spread sickness. No, not the sickness of a person's physical
health, but it certainly can affect a person's spiritual health. We need to guard our
spiritual well-being as well as our physical well-being. What goes in the eyes can't
be protected by a pair of gloves. It can't be washed before viewing.
Matthew 6:22-23 says, "The lamp of the body is the eye--But if your eye is bad,
your whole body will be full of darkness...".
What we watch on TV or on our computers can make us live in darkness. We want
to stay healthy. We need to stay in the lightness of His Word. Guard what you look
at today!
