It's Friday and time for Biology 101. The college professor is giving his lecture
on reproduction. Yawn! Wait a minute! He has added a new twist. John 3:3
says, " ...I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of
God." Let me hurriedly thumb through my notes. Did I miss a lecture or something,
how can that be? The professor goes on to explain this new birth as accepting The
Truth, being baptized, and coming up out of that water as a new creation. Why would
we do that? I John 2:25 tells us, "And this is the promise that He has promised us
—eternal life." This new birth gives us a different reason for understanding death.
We can live eternally in Heaven if we do what He asks! John 10:10 tells me that I
can have life and have it more abundantly.
I have a new hope and I can look at the world in a whole different way now. I'm glad
I didn't skip this class.
