Ever wonder what your folks truly thought of you when you were just a rotten
kid? Even now, all grown and mature, how do you think your parents would
look at you when you do those dumb, rotten things? You know what I mean,
don't you? What Luke 15:11-24 says gives us an inkling. The Scriptures tell
us that a man had two sons - one did a rather dumb, rotten thing. Then, he
came to an understanding of himself and returned to his father. Verse 20 says,
"And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off,
his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and
kissed him."

God loves us. He loves us even when we don't show our love for Him. He waits,
by the window, until He sees us coming to Him and He runs to meet us. He doesn't
love our act, but He still loves us even when we are a little rotten!
