In John 10:10, Jesus tells us, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill,
and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more
abundantly.
What exactly does that mean? How do we live life more abundantly? Well, the Bible
does give us the answers to these questions.
1 Corinthians 10:31
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
That is a good start. The next part is the continuing in your studies. Matthew 5:6
says, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled."
We really should approach our pursuit for the knowledge of God's will, as starving individuals.
It is this knowledge that will sustain us through all of this life, and through our eternal life.
Psalm 69:9
Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up,
And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.
The word zeal, according to the American Heritage Dictionary is Enthusiastic devotion to a cause,
ideal, or goal and tireless diligence in its furtherance.
A devotion for, and tireless diligence toward the house of the Lord comes with the study, and that
hunger and thirst. And then that desire moves you to want to tell others what you know.
Acts 5:42
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.
Give glory to God! Hunger and thirst after His will! Grow in you passion for His word and its furtherance!
And spread the gospel to every living creature as we have been commanded! That is the secret to life,
the universe and everything!
Have a wonderful day!
