On July 20, 1969, the world stopped. You see, they all stopped to observe what
has been called the greatest technological achievement in history. I have seen
pictures of masses of people standing still in New York watching the news feeds.
People in awe of what they were seeing.
By April 13, 1970 all of that changed. Not even a full 9 months later, the world had lost
that sense of amazement. By then it was 'old hat'. Isn't it incredible that we become
that jaded that we almost immediately get to that "What have you done for me lately"
mentality. And that was just with a man-made machine.
We do that same thing with God! The awesome power of God is so evident when you
stop to look around.
Psalm 19:1-3 reminds us,
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
2 Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language
Where their voice is not heard.
There is no place that you can go, nothing that you can see that does not proclaim the
amazing power of God. Take a moment today to stop and look around, and give the
glory and honor to God!
Psalm 96:2-4
2 Sing to the LORD, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
3 Declare His glory among the nations,
His wonders among all peoples.
4 For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
His glory never fades!
