Here is a reality check for you. I just heard a report that says that Clay Aikin's
supporters are more powerful than most Washington lobbyists. People are
clamoring to know more about Terrell Owens's situation. People are now so
concerned with how Dale Jr. is doing in the standings. It would be sad if I were
just talking about the youth of this country, but I am, unfortunately, talking about
a lot of adults. But the kids are watching. They see where we put our attention.
They emulate our actions.
From Matthew 11:28-30:
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Why don't we take the time to get to know the One who died in our place? Do we
want to forget, or is it just not that important to us? Think about the ones who are
coming behind us. Who will teach them the importance of knowing God, Jesus and
the Holy Spirit? Who will teach them from the Word that will show them the way?
It is us! You and me!
Matthew 28:19-20
19 (YOU) Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
(YOU ARE TO BE) baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and
of the Holy Spirit,
20 (YOU ARE TO BE) teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Learn of Him! Teach about Him! Baptize as He was baptized! Live as He lived!
