I find it so hard to believe that there are people in this world who could get so
confused to place God and hate in the same thought. I am sure that you have
seen it by now. There is a group of people out there, that are calling themselves
Christians, who are protesting funerals and other events carrying signs that
proclaim, "God Hates You". How could you get so off track. They call themselves
"Servants of God", but I am not sure that they are looking at the same scriptures.
Their own website claims that it is too late to pray! I serve a risen Savior, that
came to earth because that same God that they are talking about, "So loved the
world..." John 3:16.
Deuteronomy 16:21-22 tells us that God hates for us to set up sacred pillars,
and emblems of idolatry. Also in Deuteronomy 12:31, God hates the
abominations of man. But be clear! God loves you! The things that we do
may, in essence, turn His stomach. We may anger Him with our foolishness.
But, the rest for our minds comes in the form of knowing that God loves us,
even in our sin! He constantly gives us every opportunity to repent and return
to Him.
We can never lose our focus. We can not call ourselves Christians, and spew hate.
"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those
who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you," Those
are the words of our loving Savior! Let those carry us into our weekend! Let them
resonate in your life! Teach those around you the truth, with all love! Give them
the good news, that they might be pleasing to God!
