Anybody who knows me, knows that I am very in to video. I love cameras and
all the gear that goes along with them. I love video editing. A lot of my free time
is spent looking at new software and techniques. One of my favorite things to
do is to watch tutorials about a specific technique or process. Tutorials are really
helpful, because they show you, step by step, exactly how to do it.
Our lives are supposed to do the exact same thing. We are not only supposed to
teach people by our words, but we are to tech them by letting them see the scriptures
in action through our daily lives.
In Matthew 5:14-16 Jesus says,
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives
light to all who are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and
glorify your Father in heaven.
There are people who are depending on us to show them how they can accomplish a
life with God at the very core. Now that is an awesome responsibility, but one that we
are required to fulfill if we are to truly wear the name Christian.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:20, "Therefore by their fruits you will know them." This is
our tutorial to others. Show your light, so that they will know you. The fruits of your work
will help them to know from where you come, and possibly be the tutorial that gives them
the strength to take on a whole knew outlook on their life.
Teach those around you today, and glorify your Father in heaven! Have a wonderful
