There is an old story that goes something like this. Two brothers decide to
rent a bicycle built for two on vacation for a fun little trip around town. They
are having a great time when they come to a hill. As they start up the hill, one
brother starts to realize that this is going to be a bit harder than he had first
thought. He starts to struggle, and pant as they go up this hill that, to him,
seemed like an easy climb. As they get halfway up the hill, his heart is now
pounding is his chest and he is sweating. At this point, he feels like he might
not make the top of the hill. He decides to encourage his brother saying, "We
can make it!" His brother replies, "I think we can make it!"

As they hit the top of the hill, the first brother says, "I need to stop and rest after
that hill." As they rest, they begin to talk. The first brother says, "I was a little
worried that we weren't going to make it up." The second, confides that he wasn't
so sure about it himself. He then says, "You should be glad I was here to help.
If I hadn't kept the brakes on, we might have rolled all the way back down."

We can feel like that. As we are pushing forward, satan can be with us the whole
time, trying to put the brakes on our efforts.

Remember the passage in Galatians 6:9, "And let us not grow weary while doing
good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."

We can grow weary in this world. It is easy to lose sight. Isn't it wonderful that God,
in His inspired word, gave us these words from Paul in Phillipians 3:14-15 "I press
toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us,
as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will
reveal even this to you."

As we continue on our track, moving toward the prize, if we keep our eyes on God, He
will supply all of our needs. (Phillipians 4:19)

Have a great day!
