I love it when I hear the TV weatherman say we are going to have another rainy
day and I step outside to the beautiful sunshine. I know, it may rain later or it is
already raining in another area, but I smile at the way we think we can predict the
things in this life. In the Book of Job (38:4), Job is asked the question from God,
"Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have
understanding." That is a reminder that we aren't as smart about the weather or
anything else in this world. God is God. He is the One who made the things of
this world and He alone knows what will happen and when. We need to keep our
eye on Him and watch what He does and act wisely in what we do know in
trusting Him.
