Some days I don't want to hear a lesson from someone telling me how to have
peace in my life. I don't want to read a book on how I can have a better day.
I don't even want to hear another sermon. I just need God! I want to know
that He is close. I turned recently to Zephaniah 3:17, 18 and read: "The LORD
your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with
gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly, who are among you,
to whom its reproach is a burden. " It doesn't matter to me that people will say
that was written to the people of Jerusalem. I need to hear that too and that
promise is big enough for the whole world. It assures me that I have a Warrior
on my side and I'm being rejoiced over and right now that is all I want to think
about today!
