We are getting into a time when vacation calls some of us. Because it calls so
many of us at the same time, it might be a good idea to make some advanced
reservations. Jesus said in John 14:2, "I go to prepare a place for you." He has
gone to make certain that all things will be ready for us when we arrive. What
kind of preparations have to be made ahead of time? Is your heart ready?
Jesus has assured us for almost 2,000 years that we will have a special
place with Him and the Heavenly Father when the time comes. We have
only this lifetime to make certain that we have an eternity, not a vacation,
to spend in that mansion. Mark 16:16 tells us how to begin our preparation
- "He that believes, and is baptized", then we begin "putting on" Christ in our
actions and reactions to the other things in God's Word. Have you called
ahead? It is not too late to do so!
