There are two coins that together add up to 35 cents. One is not a quarter.
What are the 2 coins? That is a riddle that I heard not too long ago. I sat
and thought about it for a moment, and when the answer came to me, I was
so amazed. It was so simple! How could I have missed it? You want the
answer? If you haven't guessed by now, the two coins are a dime, and a
quarter. The word play is that one is not a quarter... but the other one is!
With equal awe, I think of the simplicity involved in the Gospel of Christ.
If you have never seen the look of someone who has made that connection,
then you should try it some time. Sharing the gospel is easy. Take your
cue from Acts 8:26-39. Start with what they know. Teach them Jesus!
And when they realize what the truth is, you will see the rejoicing!
We all have a call to teach the truth (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16).
It is hard to sell a lie, but the TRUTH is easy to give freely to all who
wish to know! Share the Truth with someone this weekend.
