There are times in our lives when we seem to be the one in the spotlight. There are
also times when we are called upon to play the supporting role. That one seems to
be the hardest one for some of us. To be there for someone else when we are the one
who wants the applause is difficult. That is what a true friend will do, push someone up
the ladder when we want to yank everyone else off and be first. Proverbs 6:3 says:
"..when thou art come into the hand of thy friend: go, humble thyself and make sure
thy friend." It should humble us to know that we can be a sure friend. What a friend
we have in Jesus.
