When good things happen to good people, we see things in a different light. If bad
things happen to good people, we tend to turn our backs on God. It is what happens
within us that makes the difference. We can either become bitter or better. We need
to learn to trust God no matter what. We are not able to choose our circumstances,
but we can surely choose our response. Psalms 2:1 asks the question, "Why do the
heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?" Then verse 11 says, "Serve the
Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling." That is our reminder of just who God is.
It is God that holds the control and the power.
