"Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ..." That's Romans 16:9. Paul was trying to put
the spotlight on Urbane. He is mentioned nowhere else in the Bible. We don't know
anything about him, but Paul wanted us to greet Urbane and to know that he was a
fellow worker. Wouldn't it be nice if we held someone up for encouragement so that
people would take note of him (her)? Urbane is remembered along with the other 33
people Paul took time to mention. Our lesson for today from this is: 1. we need to
be a friend; 2. we need to keep in touch; 3. we need to work together in Christ!
Salute the Urbanes in your life.
