Do you ever have the feeling of saying "Hurry up" to someone on crutches?
Many times we are just as insensitive to ourselves when we expect instant
healing from past wounds that occur in our lives. How long does it take to
heal? As long as it takes, and for some that is a very long time. We have
the right to heal and we can't hurry up what can't be hurried. The Bible tells
us in Matthew 19:19: "‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’" We are
more patient with a neighbor than we are with ourselves. Love yourself through
the healing process and remember that you can have God in your recovery.
